My apologies to my Readers for taking so long between installments…but the adage of not being able to teach an old dog new tricks seems to be operative with me and this virtual learning shit! I have spent most of the Summer (and the entire month of August) attempting to become competent with the features of Zoom! And while I am no master of it — I have learned enough to get by — and every day I learn more — but it is exhausting for an old dog…
Meanwhile, all sorts of horrible things continue to occur in the American landscape that deserve more recognition than 5G (like the continued executions of unarmed Black men by police departments around the country). I hope to throw in my 5 cents as soon as I publish this missive.
So, the 5G signal is supposed to improve our communications without any detriment to US — if this be true — why are these 5G towers being sabotaged in Germany, in Great Britain and even in Kansas (as the foreman of our friendly neighborhood 5G project informed me before the project was shut down)?!
Foreman? Shut down?? Let me backtrack…
For about 2-years-now, ATT & T (or their sub contractors) have been trying to utilize a \”telephone\” pole a mere 100 feet from my driveway — to install a 5G \”substation\” or \”boosting unit.\” Neighbor Andre, myself and another neighbor (who will be known as the Frenchman) — have managed to stymie their efforts (until the beginning of the pandemic — when it appears that ATT & T thought it might be a good time to try again). Never mind their use of subcontractors to get the job done!
And it was at least 4-years-ago that AT &T T attempted to install Phase One of 5G capability a mere 50 feet from my driveway. A Phase One Project puts in an underground booster to beef up the strength of a signal when a 100 foot tower cannot be installed! \”They\” (ATT & T or the sub-contractor) attempted to install this booster on the Frenchman\’s property — pretty much blocking where the Frenchman\’s driveway will be (he still has to build his home). We managed to put a stop to that little project…
Then a-couple-of-years later (as noted above), we received mailers about the new plan to build the substation across the street from the Frenchman\’s property — but still tie-in to the pole on his property (by running power lines under the street). Not everyone affected by the new plan received this notification in-the-mail and I received my notification too late to attend the hearing.
So, as I reported, the subcontractors began ripping up the road and properties at the beginning of the pandemic.
Neighbor Andre contacted the Frenchman on the Monday the work began to let him know what was happening (and the Frenchman was reached in Iraq no less [for a reason I will momentarily share])!
The Friday of that week, I spied the Frenchman (on his property) telling the subcontractors to get off of his property! They pretty much told him to \”Fuck off\”! The Frenchman came over to me and asked me what they were up to and I stated that it looked like a 5G project…but that he probably already knew that if he was CIA.
He candidly replied that he did work for US government and that he was over in Iraq training Iraqi fighter pilots (he is a pilot himself). I said: \”Ah so.\”
Saturday came and no workers appeared. Monday arrived and the subcontractors came and picked up their equipment and covered the channel in the road with steel plates — reporting that a neighbor had complained and they were being shut down.
Stepson Cina recently shared some frightening research regarding 5G — but Friend Clive says not to worry about the radiation exposure — because I get plenty (and probably even more) whenever I get a sunburn!
What prompted me to write this essay was seeing the subcontractors installing another substation down the road — quite close to my grand daughters\’ elementary school…I need to get a-hold-of the Frenchman!
