This is it! After this attempt I am wasting no more of my creative time and space on The Donald. As I said weeks ago — he never wanted the job! He just wanted to sell US a used car called: \”Make America Great Again\”! In this he succeeded. And now, as some wake up from their Ruffie Trip — they find that the car they purchased is quite the lemon…while those of US who knew it was a lemon from-the-get-go have been puckered for the past 100 days after getting our Ruffies suppository style!
I have tried every thought/theory/hypothesis I could think of over-the-past-18-months to explain how The Donald could maintain a base of support? When he made his impossible promises I knew that there was no way he could keep them (as did many others)! Now that he is going back on almost every single one-of-them — except for the tax breaks for the Rich and corporations (and fucking up the planet as promised) — you would think that his supporters (I dare not term them \’a basket of deplorables\’) would have turned on him?! But they still defend his every utterance…
I actually enjoyed Bill Maher\’s diagnosis of this dynamic (defending Trump) this past Friday — as he was vexed by the same problem: That Trump supporters still go to the mat for The Emperor with No Clothes…I daresay they are quite naked as well!
And so I finally realized that these supporters are all tripping on Ruffies — while the rest of us are in the throes of our suppository-induced hangover! Ruffie-trippin\’ Trumpsters don\’t yet know that there is a tiger in the bathroom!! I have heard a rumor, however, that the Ruffies have begun to wear-off-on-SOME: creating a growing group of disenchanted Trump voters. I cautiously want to believe that They are now experiencing the hangover that the rest of us got after having the Trump Ruffie rammed up our tuckus.
I also feel comfortable stepping out of the entire Trump Narrative as I have noticed that I\’m no longer 3-or-so-months ahead of the learning curve: plenty of folks are now talking and writing about the exact same themes that I am (though after trying out my Ruffie analogy on friends I may have achieved my last first!).
Still, since so many folks (Bill Maher included) are on the same page as I am — I don\’t need to endure this shitty hangover any longer! I\’m back to successfully self medicating. For example — when my parents, or my brother, or my stepson call me and attempt to gloat about their boy in the White House — I simply tell them that they are \”breaking up\” and that we seem to be \”losing signal\”!
In this way I navigate being sucked into their Ruffie Trip — that Fox has figured out how to perpetuate for many folks.
Additionally, I\’ve decided to tune myself to a new key to beat this hangover — that being whiskey. I\’m finding that 3-shots- of-the-stuff every evening causes the hangover to disappear, and, I forget that the Big Trip (Life) could be ending far sooner than I imagined…
