All animals are created equal…
But some animals are more equal than others…(reflections from Animal Farm)
I wanted to title this piece: Enter the New Jester — in honor of a person who can apparently say anything to — and around — the king and still keep his job as Fool. And lest ye forget the lesson of King Lear — Fools are-at-their-best with a demented ruler…
I know many a \”conspiracy\” theorist (my readers know that I am one-of-them) who are aware of the \”purported\” story that — as mayor of NYC — Rudy ordered 30,000 body bags for the city in the Summer prior to 9/11.
If Rudy was in-on-the-plot (don\’t forget that there are many of us who believe 9/11 to have been an \’inside job\’ to get us into Iraq [by-way-of-Afghanistan]) — it would go a long way to explain why Rudy is as bat shit crazy as his king: It\’s not easy allowing nearly 4000 people to die (Pearl Harbor\’s death toll was only 2350) AND messing up Manhattan like that. Having to keep the secret is also not easy. (I often think that keeping an \’ugly\’ secret makes a person ugly.)
Many-years-ago I wrote a piece called: the American Schizophrenia (my working definition of schizophrenia being: the individual consciousness blurs with empirical reality). In-other-words, as a nation, US can no longer tell the difference between fantasy and reality: It\’s all one-and-the-same.
Let\’s take the US decision of leaving the treaty with Iran as a recent example of our inability to think critically (like the schizophrenic)…
We are pulling out of the treaty with Iran because…because…, oh yes — because Iran wants to nuke Israel off-the-world-map. So upon US departure from the treaty, Iran fires off missiles from one-of-their-bases in Syria at Israel to protest…to protest, er, to perhaps to begin the destruction of Israel? Meanwhile, Israel engages in precision strikes of Iranian bases in Syria while making sure they avoided Syrian; Russian; US; and, rebel bases (neither can we forget ISIS — who could pop up at any time to…to…to…what exactly is their purpose?).
And no one begs the question of how all of these military instillations function so closely together (Syria is not that big of a country)? You\’d think US would have immediately taken out that Iranian base that was bombing our ally, Israel.
Interestingly, the European media didn\’t report on the aforementioned \”exchange of fire\” — or at least that\’s what my European contacts tell me.
But let\’s say, for argument\’s sake, that Iran had the capability of nuking Israel (like Russia does) — the prevailing winds would blow the radioactive cloud back through Syria and into Iran. Doesn\’t sound like a clever plan does it?
And through all-the-madness, US continues to be the Good Guy for about 40% of our electorate, while Iran — with its 3 regime changes in a single century (each orchestrated by the West because Iran sits atop-the-world\’s second largest oil reserves) gets to play the Bad Guy again (like they had to in Iran/Contra) — so that Chevron and Enron and Whomever that was shut out of Iranian oil operations because Iran nationalized their oil industry — can get a leg back into the lucrative Iranian oil business.
I largely blame Hollyweird for US inability to critically examine the information that sits in front of US. Hollyweird is all about simulation — which has desensitized most-of-US to the experience of reality (from the French sociologist, Jean Baudrillard). We are unable to critically take stock of experience — because we can no longer feel what we should feel when reacting to events. This latter expression is also a Baudrillardian concept: the concept of hyperreality — whereby reality is augmented and we all watch ourselves as if in a simulation…
Ah well, it is said that fools suffer fools.
