Bernie & Bloomberg

February 25, 2020

I must apologize to my readers who contact me and hope that I will respond to them.  I do appreciate your reaching out — but I truly don\’t have the time to correspond.  I would love to dialog with each-and-every-one-of-you..but preparing lectures, grading, music — and of course — writing for The Doctor\’s Inn leave me with no time, but to collapse when the day is done!  Lest I forget — the Wife has US watching every gangster series out there!

So, it\’s really: The moving finger writes and having writ, moves on (Khayyam). And now for the segue:

If Bloomberg really wanted to take on King Trump — why didn\’t he do it as a Republican?!  Mano a mano??  Why would he do it as a sissy Democrat — unless the game is even bigger than I thought???  Is Bloomberg really in this thing to knock out Bernie and protect the status quo?  After all, Bloomberg is in the Top Ten wealthiest Americans — while The King runs a distant 275th (but I doubt the monies the King is making during his reign have been factored into that placement).  So if it came down to Bloomberg vs. King Donald the status quo will most likely be maintained.

I am suggesting (at least today) that the One Percent are afraid that Bernie can-pull-it-off and win the whole thing!  Bernie has a movementgoing — like the King does every morning (and like he did 4 years ago).  But Bernie\’s movement is more reflective of the Hunger Games

Something Bernie is saying is appealing to the 50 million registered voters which includes Hillary haters, government haters and those aforementioned disenfranchised future generations (who don\’t have a-hope-in-Hell to share in the wealth US once had!).  It\’s the latter who are the folks who will exact some form of justice.  The dam is about to break — and the King shuffles his little errand boys off to plug the leaks.

I am very much hoping that it is The Young who will save us from becoming a shithole country, a Banana Republic!  Like in Arthur C. Clarke\’s Childhood\’s End — I hope Our Youth rise to create something from the dung we have strewn this Earth with.

I promised Friend Clive that I would vote for Bernie in the California Primary — and I will — because he seems to be the only candidate concerned with the future we are handing down to our children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grand children!

It\’s not about the coal miners in Virginia anymore — who if they knew better — would have re-trained for something other than coal mining.  A cow only gives milk for so long…

My classes and I have wondered what it would be like if the 607 billionaires chipped in a billion each year — to fund infrastructure and help the homeless (whom many of these billionaires helped reduce to that status).

What if Ol\’ Mayor Bloomberg, instead funding a wildly indecent campaign — put his money into helping the poor?  Gosh, if he did that — he\’d get my vote!

As it is — Bernie seems to be the only candidate who gives a fuck about future generations!  May Bernis stay out of the sights of the lone, crazed gunman who will state that he only wanted to protect US from socialism (if the lone, crazed gunman stays alive long enough to state this).

The EXQUISITE IRONY REMAINS: US is the largest socialist combine on the planet!!!
