God Save the King…from the job he wants — but doesn\’t want to do…
The Republican Party of Arizona wants to know which of its members is willing to die for Donald. They apparently haven\’t noticed what happens to those who are willing to take a bullet for Him: they get thrown under a bus (with no recognition); they do \”time\” and then write a book about what an asshole he is; or, they do time until they get thrown under the bus and never get a chance to write a book.
The New Confederate States — led by Texas attorney general, Ken Paxton (who is looking for a pardon fof his own past indiscretions)) — are petitioning the Supreme Court to void the votes of the 4 swing states?! This in itself is ironic — as Texas likes to refer to itself as the Lonestar State That\’s over 20 million votes belonging to other States that Texas would like to void! That\’s allotta Ted Cruz chutzpah! (Recall: Teddy is willing to argue the case in front of the Supreme Court — should it get that far.)
And a-hundred-and-six-or-so Republican House members have signed this petition (along with Trump, of course). Are y\’all Whistling Dixie? Are y\’all marchin\’ to the tune of a nihilist?
Talk about Teddy C.\’s chutzpah — Dandy Don\’s relentless coup attempts are performed in broad daylight!! But I guess the Sedition Act is null-and-void — as are so many other parts of the constitution — when it comes to Donny.
Who would have thought that democracy would die such a cruel death at the hands of a mad wannabe king and his sycophants. Our Constitution has been shredded by the 1% who don\’t relish the idea of giving up power (or $$$s).
For a moment — let\’s imagine that US never was a democracy — but have been capitalist enterprise under the guise of democracy. And by the 20th century US were soley a war country — built to defend and attack. We are probably the only nation — that pours its wealth into the military instead of its citizenry.
One of my top students is doing her final exam response on capitalism — and did some interesting research on countries practicing this sacrosanct economic model. It seems like there are only about 15 countries (Ireland, Hong Kong, New Zealand among them) that feel that capitalism is the way to go — and none of them have amassed a national debt quite like the Big Daddy, US.
I know that the whiny little bitch is going to fight tooth-and-nail till the very end — because once out of the White House — his pardons will not extend to the Southern District of New York. But the Master of Illusion and Delusion could still pull off something that maintains him in office — a civil war perchance?
If I were one of the attorney generals operating for the New Confederacy, I\’d be planning my escape about now — because with people being asked to maintain their Trumpian loyalty in the face of death…well we know how it turned out for the followers of Czar Nicholas, Mussolini, Hitler, King Charles, Louis the XVI, Pol Pot et al. Hell! Those of US who have read our history (and remember it) know how it turns out for those who supported despots and tyrants!
Where can the Trump brood run to? Where can they hide?? Where will the new White Amerika set-up-shop? Does Turkey have better golf courses than Saudi Arabia?
As a Californian I\’m not sure I give a flying fuck about how it all turns out — cuz I think most people be California Dreamin\’ and not so much Amerikan Dreamin.\’
But if your Amerikan Dream is Dying for Donald — I\’m thinking that you are probably slitting your own throat…
