Another Hallelujah

April 8, 2023

I almost got this out on April Fool\’s Day — which might have been more fitting — because who would have thunk that The Orange Man would finally see a reckoning (or at least an attempt at a reckoning)?  But here we are — with some partial accountability…some partial karma…

The Doctor\’s Inn has had many words on Donald Trump (not that I wanted to spend so much time on him ([he is truly not that interesting]) because his vitriol has polarized US into Never Trumpers and MAGAs.  And at last count — 74,000,000 of US preferred him to Biden (if you believe EVERY Trump vote was counted!).

Once upon a time you could share a dinner with someone of a differing political ideology and if words got heated you still might have enjoyed future dinners where the topic of politics was put aside.  During the Trump presidency — and now post-President Trump era however, the chasm between the two aforementioned ideologies is so wide that you would never have dinner with \”the other side,\” again!

Hell!  Even the Conways are reportedly splitting up!

The MAGAs always say what a great job The Orange Man did for US whilst president.  I ask them: \”Aside from moving the capital of Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem\” and giving US elite a trillion dollar tax break — what exactly did He do?  They respond with absurdities like he kept Russia out of Ukraine and cracked down on the Chinese.  Puh-leese.  TOM (the orange man) wanted to get a Trump Tower in Moscow and probably owed Putin in excess of $300,000,000 (which was laundered through Deutsche Bank) and I doubt very much that he ever messed with Mitch McConnell\’s in-laws.

Even those FOX entertainers (they are not journalists) admitted in private that he is a heel and painted a false Trump reality/narrative soley for ratings.

If TOM was like Robin Hood and robbed from the rich to give to the poor (or even like Bonny and Clyde) — I would feel badly for Him in His upcoming courtroom drama(s): there looks to be more than one-of-these in the offing.  But His narcissism has Him robbing from everyone — engendering monetary sympathy only from his base.

Years ago I figured out the operative dynamic between TOM and his loyal followers and am compelled to share it once again — as the threat of violence perpetrated by TOM increases with death threats pouring in on those who would dare to prosecute Him:

TOM is a very ugly man (literally and figuratively) and has done many horrible things to other human beings.  Michael Cohen and I termed Him a \”monster\” in the same week some years ago.

Like TOM, most-of-US have dark aspects to our characters — and in our attempts to self therapize — we develop The Soap Opera Syndrome whereby we see characters even more pernicious than ourselves.  We are relieved to know that we aren\’t the worst of the worst.

So we actually feel pretty good watching TOM destroy institutions and people!  It\’s also relieving to see TOM reflect our sins.  And because he is never called to account for His unconscionable behavior — why should we ever be?

His behavior is whitewashed and His followers point their fingers at some other Devil (think Hunter Biden and the Deep State).  Thus they will never have to be accountable for their sins.

In a way, his base is correct in comparing him to Jesus — as He has unwittingly taken on the sins of all who could care less whether they are forgiven or not.  TOM\’s followers get to sin with impunity thanks to Him.

Happy Easter
