New publisher, Marc Applebaum (of globalcentralbranding.com) suggested that I hadn\’t written about Trump in quite some time. I told him that I didn\’t want to write about Trump ever again!
Upon further reflection, however, I realized that the Orange Man has occupied my consciousness at-some-point every day (usually with my morning paper or Yahoo News) since he declared his candidacy in 2016 — which means: He has impacted me daily for almost 8 years (12% of my life). And now he threatens to occupy my consciousness until he dies…
If I\’d known that a significant number of my hot showers (why else would I pick this period of human development to dwell in?) were going to be \”tempered\” by Trump — I would have sought out some other place, some other time.
As suggested elsewhere, Buddy Clive got me thinking about royalty-in-exile when he asked me where I thought Trump would escape to when things started looking even more \”orange\” for him. Would he escape to Saudi Arabia, or, to Russia?
I was thinking that the golf courses in Saudi Arabia might be better than those in Russia and that in Saudi Arabia the Orange Man would be able to golf with any number of American ex-pats and LIV a little. But in Russia, he could truly become the Red Tsar!
Hence the title of this attempt: The Court of the Red Tsar, or, Mara-a-Lago East (both Russia and Saudi Arabia are East of US) which is where we anticipate the exiled would-be dictator will set up his red court — as either the exiled de facto president; or, a place from which to whine about another stolen election.
President Trump in exile is not really a stretch — particularly if he wins the 2024 election and is found guilty of one-or-more charges levied upon him in the indictments.
Back in the Redlands (for another round of care giving) — I watched yet another Newsmax installment. This time it was Trump returning to Mara-a-Lago after his fourth indictment. The Newsmax talking head played 2 excerpts which purportedly took place on January 6th: one of a peaceful gathering outside the capitol; and the other, a peaceful stroll through the capitol by Proud Boys. The peaceful gathering was obviously filmed on a date other than January 6th and as for the peaceful stroll — it didn\’t stay peaceful for very long. But Redlanders still maintain that Antifa adherents caused the violence in the attempt to make Trumpians look bad.
US remain the Divided States of America and the perfect backdrop for a king in exile.
I\’m not sure if the Orange Man can get the whole Trump clan over there with him at the same time. It should be no problem for Jared and Ivanka — and Melania would probably just as soon stay in US — with Barron starting college and all. But getting Eric, Don Jr. and Tiffany across the pond could become problematic.
Another logistical problem that vexes me is what will happen to his security detail when Trump Force One makes a one-way detour to safe haven.
These secret service agents certainly won\’t get paid by Putin (or Trump). Will they (Trump and Putin) bill the American tax payer; or, will these secret service personnel just come home?
Oh yeah, in case I neglected to mention it — the last person to wear the Red Tsar mantle was Joseph Stalin.
