I am still reeling at the fact that this man, Donald of Orange, will potentially be coloring my last years on the planet. Since 2016 – when he won the Republican primary and the presidency – he has been the focus of The Doctor’s Inn…that’s 9 years so far – with another four-or-so years-to-go…and if he manages to become dictator for life — then he will live on in his children (and conclude my time here on earth under the Trump banner).
As I wrote in my abbreviated Doctor’s Inn blurb – I couldn’t bear to watch this pompous, under-educated and inarticulate wannabe gangster spew his shit to what is now the Republican party in his impromptu State of the Union address. I was chatting with a politically savvy friend the other day who reminded me of the assassination attempt on our Dear Donald (this source knows a little bit about guns too).
In the days following the shooting at the rally, I took the bait that it was a Democrat-inspired attempt and didn’t consider it further…until I began wondering why the Republicans weren’t “running” with this assassination attempt like they did with Benghazi. You’d think we would have heard about this incident on-a-daily-basis: ad nauseum like Benghazi!
Questions like why didn’t King Donald’s secret service secure the site as they should have; or why the alleged shooter’s body was reportedly cremated 3 days after the event not yet been satisfactorily answered.
My friend said: watch the video tape again. I did so.
At the time of the shooting, I do remember thinking it was a staged event — because upon rising to his feet King Donald immediately tried to make himself look like a heavenly agent — with a stern rebuke and threatening body language towards the wouldbe assassin(s). Perhaps he knew no more bullets were forthcoming?
My friend also said: Look at the ear.
Such a bullet, from a high-powered rifle, should have blown the Donald’s ear off (think JFK) instead of making a tidy hole that was miraculously healed in just a few days: with no visible signs of trauma.
And I gather that the gentleman who was killed on the podium was not in a direct line with Donald’s ear – meaning, there was a sacrificial lamb on the stage.
So how did Donald’s ear get bloodied? I was reminded of the old Shakespearian stage tricks — whereby a blood pouch is strapped to where the knife or sword enters the body.
Donald ducks (pun intended) below the podium and pulls out the pouch of fake blood, pops it open and surfaces with his hand over a bloody ear. Who better to pull off such a stunt than the master of reality TV and snake-oil salesman?
And, for a brief time we did hear that god had interceded and saved the Donald so that he might in turn save US and make the world a better place – but that rhetoric didn’t last very long.
I think the Democrats should convene a panel and talk about this event on-a-daily-basis. They should have ballistics experts mapping the angle of the bullet from the shooter’s position to where the Donald stood and where the bullet struck. Benghazi got that kind of attention and more.
After all, the murder of an innocent man did occur. But Kings, Emperors and Dictators do demand sacrifice.
I still can’t believe the accused kid did the shooting. If the Donald had been a Democrat – we would have had interviews with his father and certainly at the gun range where he became a sharpshooter. Not to forget the school interviews with teachers and classmates.
I tell ya, there’s something rotten in the State of Denmark…
