Bill, Wait! New Rules!!

November 11, 2016 (Veteran\’s Day)

I may have prematurely suggested that Bill Maher ride-off-into-the-sunset — not remembering what occurs on December 19th…I wonder what he will say in tonight\’s show?  I wonder what the new rules will be??

I\’m not putting much stock in the electoral college vote on December 19th — the vote that truly decides the American presidency (the one that Al Gore lost on) — but who knows, this long-shot may come through for Hillary: particularly when The Emperor is still tweeting as president-elect…may he never tweet a State secret!

As we all know, The Emperor garnered more than the requisite number of electoral votes during the general election — but this is because the electoral votes go in a \”bloc\” to the candidate who has the majority vote of the given State on general election day.  But, THIS IS NOT THE WAY THE ELECTORAL COLLEGE WAS INTENDED TO FUNCTION.

The Electoral College has actually gone through a number of permutations over time — originally created to allow an \”elite\” to vote for the under informed and/or to control the votes of \”freed\” men by \”locking in\” the votes of-the-many into the vote of One (the Elector).  And while the Elector was supposed to cast the vote on behalf of his constituency — this hasn\’t always been the case.

I\’m not trying to give a history lesson here — I\’m just suggesting that IF the Electors vote according to their constituency (and some Republican Electors help by defecting) — THEN The Emperor could lose a number of electoral votes and Hillary could gain many more (as a number of electoral districts did go to Hillary: evidenced by her superior numbers in the popular vote [let\’s hope that not all-of-these popular votes came from California]).

So there remains a mathematical probability that Hillary could still win…her concession speech would become moot then.

But now, I\’m not so sure I even want her to run the country — it might be more fun to watch The Emperor explode on the job!  Over-these-past-2-days, he\’s been looking like a-deer-in-the- headlights; or, a worm wriggling on a hook (you will have to decide which one).

In Shakespeare\’s \”Julius Caesar\” — the Roman mob was characterized as a very fickle lot: one moment supporting Caesar\’s assassins (who didn\’t want him to become emperor) and the next, ripping assassins apart, limb-from-limb.  I\’m thinking that The Emperor\’s voters are also quite fickle — and when they learn that the people he is surrounding himself with really don\’t give a fuck about them…I\’d say THIS bunch is more likely to get aggressive than the Democrat-led protests going on right now (Democrats have always been characterized as wussies compared to their gun-totin\’ Republican counterparts).

So hold on, Bill (Maher ) one-thing-we-know-for-sure is: we can\’t predict the unpredictable and perhaps Tonight\’s \”New Rules\” will by US some time.
