Bits & Pieces…11/15 — 11/22

OK!  I took my rest!!  My website manager, Bahman (the Brave), threatened to become my ghost writer, and I couldn\’t let that happen!  He is far too busy working on his next degree and being a Soccer Dad!  Besides, I was afraid that my readers might like his writing more than mine!

  • How is it — that after blowing up their own people for a-couple-of-years that ISIS has developed the temerity to take on the Russians?  The French I can understand — as they won\’t do much of anything in the way of retaliation: they have a history of that.

Doesn\’t make much sense though, does it?  Unless ISIS\’ only purpose was to whip up terrorist fervor in Muslim radicals around the world…the ISIS we saw decapitating innocents were NOT suiciders.  These recent converts SEEM TO BE.  Now the original ISIS High Command can disappear: and someone can voice an ISIS claim for any terrorist attack.  One has to wonder why ISIS never messed with the #1 enemy of Islam…Israel?!

  • Today is the 52nd anniversary of JFK\’s assassination and my neighbor still believes that Lee Harvey Oswald was the lone assassin.  I\’ve got to start reading up on John-John\’s murder, er, death.
  • Is Donald Trump a Manchurian Candidate?  Is he merely part of a well-orchestrated (Clinton?) plan to put the Republican Party in more disarray than it already is?
  • Finally!  A real sit-in!!  I can\’t remember the last time a student body took over an administration building, or, caused a university president to resign (the Missouri case).  But that shows US the sign-of-our-times: when a businessman gets to be a university president.  It\’s all about the money…
  • And speaking of money: pundits and columnists are finally getting on board with me RE: the bullet train vs. a comprehensive water plan and water infrastructure for California.  I sent George Skelton a copy of my anti-bullet train poem.  He said it was \”good.\”
  • Today\’s (11/22) \”Prickly City\” political comic strip suggested that Bill Maher has no soul.  I believe Bill does have a soul…just that he\’s not as smart as he thinks he is…
