More apologies to my readers as I am seemingly inundated with grading this Semester! Just when I think I have an opening to write — I remember student appointments and assignments I\’ve forgotten to grade. I\’m chalking all of my shortcomings up to age (and not COVID-19) these days.
But when I recently talked to a Trump acolyte (who religiously follows !@#%er Carlson) — I realized I had to leap into action and finish this piece that has been dragging on for-a-few-weeks now!
I can\’t blame the latest spate of mass shootings directly on !@#%er Carlson (I am minding my language around my granddaughters — even if their father doesn\’t) and they are mounting; but I will do my damnedest to implicate !@#%er in the toxic culture that regularly spawns these urban tragedies.
It all started off with the Grand Poobah himself — the first radio hate jock (at least the first I know of}, Rush Limbaugh, who was awarded The Medal of Freedom by another hate monger — before Rush succumbed to cancer at age 70. I\’m sure Rush had his own inspiration — but as-I-have-noted — I only have so much time to research these days.
I can say that Rush managed to create a right-wing cesspool that birthed many-a-hateful-tadpole to follow…does the term \”dittohead\” take anyone down memory lane?
I\’ve also gone on record (elsewhere\’ in The Inn) calling Rush a big fat idiot.
But this attempt is directed more towards that Trump-aligned, self-serving acolyte than it is about Rush. I only mentioned Rush — to set the racist stage — where might is right and right is white.
I briefly tuned in to the trial of Derek Chauvin (the cop accused of murdering George Floyd) and couldn\’t listen to much of it — because it was very disturbing to hear the life drained out of George as Chauvin uttered juvenile taunts at George like \”You think you\’re such a tough guy now.\”
In what world do people (like Derek Chauvin) think they can get away with this kind of shit? Obviously our world! As an unarmed Black man who is doing anything at all suspicious has a snowball\’s chance in Hell of not being melted.
But I\’m sure !@#%er will find Chauvin\’s defense highly credible — and any sentencing of Chauvin — an attempt to appease the liberal left.
What a fucking idiot this guy is!
This !@#%er has a Bachelor\’s degree in history from some butt fuck non-descript college called Trinity University! What the Hell is he supposed to be an authority on? The father, son and holy ghost?? And if this be the case — he must believe in the supernatural — and ergo, be a follower of \”Q.\”
It\’s sickening that under-educated White supremacists like !@#%er wield so much influence upon equally under-educated ears. Hell, he\’s still helping Trump for a 2024 run…may the entire Trump Family, except for the former First Lady, Melania (who did so much with her position to benefit Americans) and Barron (who is too young to be a player in the Trump gang) get locked up under !@#%er\’s watch.
From here-on-in, this consummate asshole, this purveyor of absolute nonsense and sewage — will be nothing more than a Fokker to me…
