World on Fire – Cities in Fear

I was going to write an article about Kaiser wanting my shit, and, go after the pimped-out American medical profession – but, after more serious thought — I decided I had better address the revolutions going on in the African Mediterranean (and elsewhere) where American puppet dictators are being forced out (though I’m not completely convinced that Mubarak has been permanently dethroned [because I still think he’s in charge of the army {and I have a funny feeling that he’ll be back}])…so I had to defer writing about my former high school student: The Queen of Kaiser Emergency in Woodland Hills.

Unfortunately, Libya presents a more fascinating analytical proposition – what with Kadafi blaming his country’s woes on Al Qaeda.  Al Qaeda, a C.I.A. construct, is doubtfully behind what’s happening to Khadafi – and, as Brother Paul and I agreed – Kadafi may be trying to pull in some American assistance by blaming Al Qaeda (which is rather ironic after Reagan bombed the shit out of Tripoli back-in-the-80s) but, Kadafi has been rather well-behaved ever since.  Can we blame Al Qaeda for Tunisia, Yemen, Algeria, Bahrain and Egypt?  I think not.

Non-myopic and jingoistic types will recognize what is going on in Mediterranean Africa for what it is: someone (most likely Russia and/or China) are cutting the strings of the last American puppets in the region.  Saudi Arabia endures as an American whore – but my friends “in the know” – tell me that She will be pimped-out by Russia and/or China in the near future.

And what’s this?!  The New York Stock Exchange being purchased by the Frankfurt Stock Exchange?!  To-the-tune-of a 60% controlling share?!  I’m not sure about the eventual ramifications of this deal (recall Benjamin Franklin casting the deciding vote for English over German as the U.S. national language) – but the Germans did complain about American voodoo economics bringing down the world economy (again) at the last economic summit. And my realtor buddies tell me that their peers and the banks are up to their old tricks again (though I’m not quite sure I understand what’s going on now as well as I understood ye olde sub prime loan nonsense).

Where are we headed?  I don’t know.  The Ojai land I’ve been wanting to purchase for the past few years to disappear into the landscape — has permanently fallen through: now that I have met the owner: a very, ugly American.  Now I’m looking for some old Indian land (well, I guess it was all Indian land at one point) up in Tehachapi – where I hope that the advertised spring is as incredible as the Ojai spring…God!  What a sight!!  A powerful, glorious spring — spilling thousands of pristine gallons-a-day into a stream that eventually feeds the Castaic Lake.

So, I looked to The Watchman for some lyrical explanation – and this is what he sang:

The world’s on fire – the cities in fear

But I can’t get out of here,

Standing by a burning tree,

Things look different suddenly

They’re not like what you’ve been told

Grab on to what you can hold,

Next you’ll find that you’ve been had…
